Default Unintended switch from MMI to iPhone

I have had the experience recently of being in the middle of a conversation using the MMI, only to have it suddenly go silent. After about the 3rd time, I realized it had switched to the iPhone. Selecting Audio on the iPhone Phone App, I was able to switch it back to the MMI. It happens about a minute into the conversation and doesn't seem to matter whether it's an incoming call or one that I initiated.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Are you on BT or through CarPlay?

I used to have Llama and had it set to disconnect BT when I got on a Wifi connection(typically meant I was home). Sometimes it would connect to a random driveby xfinity Wifi and disconnect my BT and your exact situation would happen. Just a random thought, if you have anything that is set to disconnect BT in the car for some reason.

Good thought. I just checked, but so far as I can tell, I don't have any. And even if I did, why would it wait for a minute to switch from BT to WiFi? The other thing that makes this maddening, of course, is the fact that it happens perhaps one time out of twenty to thirty. It doesn't seem to be dependent on where I am geographically or time of day or phase of the moon or barometric pressure (okay - I'm just guessing on the last two).
Maybe it's Tim Apple just messing with my mind....

Could just be a BT glitch in the lastest iOS you have running. Have you tried using CarPlay? That I can pretty much guarantee youll have a constant connection.
