Is it possible to get this display? So much better to have a large digital speed counter in the center, like Porsche. I hate the speedometer being in the corner.

1st issue: software version, likely newer than the one we have in our A4 so the S4 coding might not be possible, second issue: knowing the right coding but time will solve that once the first S4 arrive

I just watch a video about the SQ7s VC and it looks the exact same as ours in features and configuration but the difference was the 'layout' option that is in the same option menu as the lap timer that changes it to classic or sport. I would think that it could be just built into the software that they ship out, because the TTS had this dial type before the B9 was even out and one would think they would just have the S4 Programming done already and just needs to be activated.

Correct. Every S car has different software on the virtual cockpit that enables the lap timer and Sport mode layout. The hardware is the same between all the models. The difference is software.

But is it a software model similar to phones and all are loaded with the same software but it is not active for that model, similar to a smartphone but simpler. I am curious to see about this.

I posted the same question yesterday night in the thread about VCDS/VAG-COM (I haven't seen these posts yet), sure it looks good! We will have to wait for a S4 owner to analyze thendifferences and find the right codes...

i read somewhere it can be enabled on a new car under 100km's but can't find it anywhere now....
