What's the difference between engine codes ?

Hello all, I have an 2016 b9 3.0tdi 200kw quattro, and I noticed that usually all of them have CRT engine code, but mine has CRTC. Maybe somebody knows what's the difference between them, because all the specs are the same. And another question, is it really CRT engines are not reliable ?

The first three characters identify an engine. The fourth character identifies the output level for that variation of that engine. So an example of one I know, the US emissions version of the supercharged 3.0T for the last years of the B8 era. Basic engine code was CTU. CTUA was the 228kW version in the A6/A7, CTUB was the 245kW version in the S4/S5, CTUC was the 200kW version in the Q5, and CTUD was the 260kW version in the SQ5. You won't see the fourth letter on the engine itself, as the core engine is the same. Some outlier components and the ECM tuning are what change with the output level.

CRTC is a 200kW EU6 emissions 3.0 TDI, used in the 4M Q7 (2015) and 8W A4 (2016). The 160kW 3.0 TDI in the 8W is CSWB, so different base engine. Appears CRTD (200kW) and CRTE (160kW) and CRTF (155kW) were used in the 4G facelift A6/A7 (2014). youtu.be/BS-ElbkdwtI It's hard to tell the EA897 family 3.0 TDI evolution, or where in that evolution this engine belongs.
