the S4 and S5 differ in price by only a couple thousand. my guess is that the RS5 will cost a few more grand than the RS4. probably around 75-78k max.

Probably not. Expect ~S6 prices. 85k loaded (ceramic brakes, anyone?)

What is the base MSRP on an RS4? I think it'll be +/- $5k more.

1) Upgraded RS4 V8 engine with Valve-Lift.?
2) V10 5.2 FSI engine.?
3) V8 4.0TFSI engine. ?

S6 is not 85k. its about 78k without adaptive cruise and the leather dashboard (passenger side) options which is a more comparably loaded.

Default yep... the base S5 is $2k more than the base S4, right?
It's all about product placement... even with a fancy-schmancy engine, it won't be placed more than $5k above the RS4, IMO.
