Audi does not ship incomplete cars. They don't even build them incomplete

This. And the domestic comparison had me laughing.

Was there any factual info here or is this post just spotganging?

The anticipated delivery on my 2022 A6 has now slipped to late March 2022. At this rate my car may turn into a 2023 model.

has to be shortage related…I could only guess Audi’s margins are higher on the higher spec engine so they would never flow inventory like that without a reason…

Articles in European press say Audi is continuing to run their plants but at highly reduced schedules, something like 1/3 capacity, due to the chip shortage.
I placed my order for a 2022 A4 Allroad Prestige at the end of June 2021. It initially showed a production completion date of 10/9/2021. The report I got from the dealer last week showed a production completion date of today, 11/9/2021 with a port arrival of 12/8/2021.

Here's hoping the status doesn't change and I get my A4 Allroad by Christmas.

Good luck and let us know when your AllRoad arrives. Mine is still showing Feb delivery. I still don’t see any 2022 A4 45’s for sale nationwide on sites like car gurus. However there are now a few 2022 A6 45’s showing up… that’s encouraging.

you don't see them because they aren't in the US en masse yet. An initial round of production for 22 A4's just wrapped up

Dealers also have to pay to be on sites like Cargurus and the like, and more and more, especially in the current climate, dealers are leaving those platforms.

My new Allroad was released to carrier, so should have it in a few days, Finally! I assume the hold in port that was applicable to my AR is also what was holding the A4 with the 45 motor, so maybe there will be some A4s w/45 motor showing up!!
