So My MY2020 A5 (2021 reg and 2019 built....) just got a s/w update to the same version as above (June 2021 snapshot).
They also said it does not have wireless Carplay.
So will have to see if I can enable 5Ghz channel myself...

Yes, you should be able to activate this yourself. I was able to do it on my 2020 A4 using OBDeleven. There is a thread somewhere on these forums (may be in the S4 forum) that provides the specific details, but from what I see in my app history, you need to go into CU 75:Telematics and set Apple_car_play_wireless value to ON. I don't remember if there was another step
Are there offers on OBD11 devices?

New to this site , just had to let anyone know after spending 4 hours at the dealer they could not figure out why wireless CarPlay was not working with my Apple 14pro , I was able to fight out , make sure your iPhone in setting is connected to 5G not 2.4G . Turn your Audi on if does not connect go to phone settings Wi-Fi setting and make sure it’s on the Audi 5G . Hope that works for anyone having issues.
