Hesitation and jerking even st steady speeds
I have researched this problem a lot and can't find anything quite like what I'm experiencing, so I'm trying a new thread.
I have an '04 B6 S4 MT with 97000 miles. Out of the blue, the car was suddenly hard to start. Have to crank 2-4 times before it turns over. Cranks strong but won't fire up until I try a couple of times. Worse, the car is now jerking and hesitating, sometimes during low-speed acceleration but also at 80 mph with cruise control on during highway driving. Sometimes it's subtle and sometimes it's a pretty hard jerk. Scary. No error codes. My Audi indy shop changed the fuel pump last week but it started happening again today. I've also had the timing chain replacement, new flywheel and clutch, and various other repairs. I've put a TON of money into the car and love it to death, so I'm afraid of either:
1) Keeping a lemon and going broke, or
2) Selling it after $13000 of repair and maintenance work and then dumping a great car that should FINALLY be reliable for a few years after all I've done to it.
The mechanic thinks it might be a bubble in the fuel line but they just did the fuel pump and maf a week ago. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
