Head Scratcher 2005 A4 3.0 Cab
Driving along I lose radio reception (still power to radio). Then the remote/key won't open the trunk. Then I try to put top down and get the error message "soft top cannot be used" We are all scratching our heads here. Anybody want to take a stab at this one???

I could probably use a battery, it's original...but wouldn't you think if I had power to start the car, I would have power to open the trunk or put down the top??. It's my first choice (battery) I hope the diagnosis is swift, weather is improving rapidly.

Well it seems I can add heart attack symptoms to the list. My local Audi semi-pro can't fix it, it is the wire harness, and I need to take it to the dealer. There goes the kid's inheritance.

Follow up/ solved
The good news is the fuses for the soft top and the remote key were missing. I don't know where they went, probably with all the mising socks. Four bucks...The bad news. Busted antenna wire, 119.00 parts, 935.00 Labor. Franks and beans this weekend.
