Yes, this is all I have...
The deal is this... upon further inspection I do have "marking" but they are NOT grooves... the latch does graze the area as you can see, but it is not a big deal and there are no noises associated with this.
How does yours look? Have you thought of some heavy weight grease in that area? Not too much, maybe apply it with a Q-tip?
