New suspension and gearbox installed
As some of you maybe remember, I had big problems with my suspension.
I made complaints here on this forum, and to the Audi distributor here in Denmark.
Finally the distributor gave in, and a complete new suspension set and gearbox was installed in my car this week.
The new suspension is from Audi sport with dampers and springs.
The ride has improved 120%. It is like night and day. The car is much more comfortable then before, and the ride is still more sporty and stiff!!! Sounds strang, but this is how it is....
Now the car fells very good, and as I before compared the Audi to my old BMW E-46 cabrio, I will now say, that the Audi A4 has just a slight disadvantage, only because of the weight and the front wheel drive.
Overnight I have become very pleased with the Audi Cab. And it is now only the rattling, who is left to be fixed.
It is very clearly that the suspension I got from the factory, was full with problems. The car now handles as one would expect.
Gearbox, is now as I would expect it to be.

Good news but can you explain what you mean by:

Is this the standard sport suspension fitted to Cabs or something different?
I am assuming you orginally specified 'Sport Suspension' in which case have they just replaced it or have they further upgraded it? If they have just replaced it do you suspect that it was never fitted in the first place i.e. the dealer/factory made a mistake with your order?
Begs the question, given there is no lowering of ride height when you specify sport suspension on the Cab, how do you know for sure that it is fitted?

It was bought with standard suspension. And then H&R lowering springs was fitted from day one.
But it did not work out at all, because the dampers were to soft.
Then I went back to original set-up, and still problems with to soft dampers.

I only not that my dealer ordered a complete sport suspension set from Audi.
If you have ever seen, all the different suspension spare parts, Audi has for the Audi A4 cab, you would get tired!!!
I do not think it is the normal sport suspension, they have used on my car, since the handling is a bit different compared to the A4 cab with standard Sport suspension I have tried.
My car is very stabile now, and compared to before, it is a new car to drive.
I can see that the new shock absorbers on my car is yellow!!
Regarding the lowering of the car: it is true that the A4 cab has the same height with standard as with sport suspension, when you order it from the factory.
Mine is now 20 mm lower.

I know.
But I have had so good experience to install H&R just after I have bought the car.
You should also have in consideration, that we here I Denmark have to pay 180% tax on the car and all the extra equipment which comes from the factory.
This means that the sport suspension is $735,00 here I Denmark. Leather seats is $ 6000,00!!
This means that we are used, to after install allot of thing on the car we buy here.
And sport suspension from the factory, is not known as being "sporty".
