2016 A6 3.0T Premium Plus vs 2018 A6 2.0t Premium Plus
Hi guys,
I am in the process of looking for a new A6. I've been looking into a bunch of dealerships, their prices, mileage, etc... and I'm tied between a few choices. I can either buy a:
All are Premium Plus Trims:
1.) CPO 2016 A6 2.0T with around 12-14k miles for around $$29,000-$30,000
2.) CPO 2016 A6 3.0T with around 15k miles for around $34,000
3.) CPO 2017 A6 2.0T with around 10k miles for around $35,000
4.) CPO 2018 A6 2.0T with around 5-6k miles for around $37,000
I really wanted the 3.0T because I wanted a more powerful car, and I figured if the 2.0t and 3.0t (for the 2016 year) is only $4k difference, I might as well go with the 3.0t. However I noticed that there are 2018 2.0T cars with very low mileage selling for a few grand more than the 2016. The only catch is that its a 4 cylinder instead of 6. I just wanted the communities input in what you guys think is the most bang for the buck, what you guys recommend, and the pros and cons of a 2.0T vs 3.0T. I know the years arent that much difference, but 1 Pro of getting the 2018 is that it has car play (and I really wanted Apple Carplay too)
Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!

Their all CPO'd so it does not matter IMHO. I don't car about carplay. I LOVE the 3.0 Supercharged engine. That is how I made my decision. You have to figure out what's important to you and base your decsion on that.

You really should drive and eliminate and 2.0T and 3.0T difference to make things easier for yourself. Then it's about Carplay. I love Carplay, and use Waze all the time. There are a few threads about retrofitting the 2016s with Carplay so you might want to look into that as well. Also, keep in mind you can get into a CPO 2018 3.0T for about $39k.

+1 Spend some time driving both the 2 and the 3 --- you need to determine which one you prefer, if any. If it really makes no difference to you after driving, then allow the available options (and price) to drive your decision. This is not a small purchase, so it should be time well spent. I spent considerable time driving the 2, 3 and TDI --- for me the TDI was and still is incredible; the 2 didn't cut it and 3 was fine, just not close to the TDI.

Update:
I ended up buying a NEW 2018 A6 3.0T PP after realizing I could get a huge discount from MSRP (A little over 18k!). I love the car, amazing ride, comfortable, and super fast.
