I would probably start with spark plugs and coil packs...

Carbon fouling? Are you getting a CEL?

engine heavily vibrates in idle, heavy vibrating around 1500-2500 rpm, EPC on and CEL keeps flashing... all plugs from bank 1 & 2 look same, no abnormal wear on them.

As I mentioned, it could be carbon deposits if you have eliminated the plugs and coil packs as the cause.

There is an extended warranty to 10yr/120Kmi for 2009-12 3.2L or 2009-13 3.0T engines that will cover carbon cleaning if the cause is deposits in the Secondary Air Ports and an MIL is visible (the SAPs are are down lower in the cylinders). The extended warranty will not cover carbon cleaning for other carbon deposits if in other areas of the engine, i.e. valves, etc. Original owners received a letter in Aug, 2013 detailing this and it states the extended SAP warranty is transferable.

Sorry I am new to Audi engine troubleshooting but based on previous experience the red above is what caught my attention. Spark misfire is only a symptom of potential multiple problems. If you changed plugs already and still have problem... your OBD2 codes are the way to filter down to culprit.

Based on error codes.. if OEM intercooler temp sensor not reading correctly... then car's ECU will assume wrong temperature and could throw engine into a limp-mode to protect engine. This will reduce power because car is trying to keep itself from detonating, i.e. engine knock.

Manifold pressure is the other culprit based on scan. If the sensor is bad or the readings (flow) to sensor have been affected via damaged wire or vacuum hose, the bad readings will also affect timing and fuel delivery thus affecting power.

OBD2 is a great thing. It's a tell-tale to find problem spots sooner. Trick is to learn how to sherlock holmes the failed units and determien if it's the units themselves or something else downstream that's causing the incorrect readings.

These are merely suggestions on where to look. Good luck and keep us posted.

Did you swap (move around) or replace?

Not sure if this will help but did you check the gapping of each spark plug to make sure they are at .032 or. 8mm? From what I've read on misfirring of spark plugs is due to wrong gapping and using cheap spark plugs. Can you provide brand of spark plugs?

Thanks

Like IDHA6, I'm still on the bench when it comes to Audi trouble shooting. I looked up the OBD Code P0241 for the Audi Manifold Pressure since it has a higher fault frequency.

The link says:
Possible causes
- Boost pressure sensor harness is open or shorted
- Boost pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty boost pressure sensor
- Faulty Turbo/Super Charger
- Engine over temperature
- Ignition misfire exceeds the calibrated threshold
- Faulty Knock sensor (KS)

Occam's razor. Brilliant.

Curious myself what plugs were used. In my experience, supercharged engines don't do well with platinum or iridium plugs. Supercharged engines have much hotter combustion temperatures because of the friction resulting from super compacted air. Platinum/Iridium coatings retain heat longer and don't dissipate it well, causing premature detonation; Resulting in misfires and loss of power.
Copper plugs have always been my preference for forced induction engines.

Nobody Panic!!! that's just my opinion.
