I'm afraid I have to disagree on that - at least on the C7. My 2013 A6 with 19" Sport package has a smoother ride than my non-Sport 2009 A4 w/18" wheels. While it may be a bit firmer than a non-sport A6, the sport package does not feel harsh at all. Handling is improved however over non-sport. 19" sport will provide a bit less firmness than the 20" sport due to the extra sidewall rubber. If I had to guess, the 19" sport should not have a harsher ride than a 20" non-sport for the same reason but should enjoy improved handling characteristics.

I can say that this A6 rides better than my A5 did. Both have 19" wheels but the A6 had the sport suspension and it feels better on the road, handles better, and is a smoother overall riding car.

Car looks great. Fwiw I like my 20" and am not looking to swap out, but in retrospect the 19" look fantastic and may have been a better alternative. Congrats on the awesome car!
