Oil is not that expensive! I run synthetic in all my motorcycles, my Z06 costs $89 at the dealer.

Is this the normal price at the dealer?

How often will my A6 call for oil change? 10,000 miles or 12 months?

Thanks everyone!

15K service is more than just oil/filter change. You should check the maintenance schedule for the A6 on Audi's web site.

It could be the cabin air filter.

My dealer quoted me $89 for just an oil change.

As I recall, the 15K mile service takes about an hour and $96 for a dealer service hourly rate is not excessive; my dealer in the Boston area charges $140 @ hour and regularly gets $125 for an oil/filter change by itself. As has been pointed out, there are many checks in the 15K service besides the oil change. (One could argue that they are necessary but it is what Audi recommends).
tenspeed was correct, the $60 filter was the environmental cabin air filter.

15k mile check is basically a oil & filter change. They do check all the fluids and some other things (atleast they say that they do), of which you can do yourself at home. $200 is excessive but that's what typical Audi dealers charge. They have to pay for their espresso machines and marble floors, I guess. I'm a DIYer but I got Audi Care for my A6 since they gave a me deal that I couldn't resist.
Mercedes used to throw in free service for 5 years like bimmers do. Speaking of bimmers, they do have the best "no charge" maintenance service out there; something to think about in the future.

And an equivalent BMW costs more than an Audi, so the maintenance is baked in

Audi did as well until the 2007 model year. Nothing is free. Those companies still offering "free" maintenance have the cost built into the price of the car in order for them to reimburse the dealer. Someone has to pay for it and in BMW's case, you can bet it's not the manufacturer or the dealer.
