Default Adding additional music from SD Card to Jukebox

(1)Can you add additional music from an SD Card to Jukebox without erasing what already might be on Jukebox?
(2)Or can I use the original SD Card that contains the music I already downloaded to Jukebox by adding new CDs to the card. Will the Jubebox recognise the music already put in it and just add the new CDs, or must I erase everything in Jukebox and add the old and new CDs on the card all over from the SD card?
I know I didn't state the question to well, but I hope someone gets the idea of what I am asking and can help on this. I guess the worse that can happen is that I just erase everything in Jukebox and add everything, old and new CDs from the SD Card from scratch.

From what I get from the manual, I would say yes, and yes. Either of your options would not overwrite existing music as the jukebox is supposed to know what is new.

Do you see a big performance gain from using the jukebox over the SD card? The SD cards seem to work fine for me.

1. Adding more music to the Jukebox from the SD card should not erase whats already on the Jukebox unless the files are identical in name.

2. You should be able to rip CDs straight to the Jukebox with out having to go through the SD card.

I personally only use the SD card, don't like how the Jukebox organizes the music.

I agree. The music is terribly organized. Most of the songs I ripped aren't even titled so the Jukebox just sorted them by date. On my computer and the SD card the songs are organized by being in a folder that is the title of the CD they were ripped from. I just use an SD card.

Sound quality is about the same on the card and Jukebox but neither is as good as the sound of the CD player. Wish I had a CD changer but that was discontinued the later 2012 models by Audi.
I use the Jukebox for my Jazz collection and one of the SD cards for my wife's more pop music.
Plan on putting Classical on the second SD card
Thanks for the help.

Audi does not allow you to rip directly from the CD player to the Jukebox on my car.
I think some people have added a code by VAG that changes that. Is that how you did it?

Actually haven't tried ripping directly from CD to Jukebox yet, so will have to double check on that. Was able to do that on my B8 A4 and assumed it would apply to the C7 A6.

For higher quality in sound, trying ripping the CD into a higher format on the computer to put on the SD card or to transfer to the Jukebox.

The highest settings I see on I-Tunes is either
(1) Import Setting--- MP3 Encoder Setting---Higher Quality 192 (kbps)
or

(2) import Setting---AAC Encoder Setting---128 (kbps)

I imagine #1 with 192 (kbps would be highest and best, Correct??

Did some searching on the net and found that ITunes has a 320kbps as a custom setting to import CDs. I set up I-Tunes accordingly than down-loaded to my SD Card. Than downloaded to the car's Jukebox and was very happy to see that Jukebox accepted it and the fidelity does sound very close to CD sound.
I also tried the lossless setting which is supposed to be the best, but CDs recorder to the SD Card would not be accepted by Jukebox with the Lossless setting.
I see this was covered on previous Threads to some degree but for what it's worth the 320 kbps from I-Tunes does seem to be the best Jukebox will accept as far as I can see with my limited experience at doing this.
Any other idea's gladly welcome.
