Hi there.

I've just bought a used 2011 Audi A6, and I can't for the life of me figure out if I have a C6 or C7!

From what I can tell reading online 2011 was the year it switched, so it appears that C6's and C7's are both 2011.

It's a 2011 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI Quattro Tiptronic Sedan.

The immediate way to tell is the sheet metal. If your car looks like a 2012 A6, then it's a C7, if it looks like a 2010 A6, than it's a C6. The two versions are very different looking.

Got it. So after spending 10 minutes on Google images, I think I've figured out the differences between the two body styles from the grill and lights.
It appears I have a C6, right?
I just want to make sure I'm posting in the correct forums.

I can't say that you have a C6 but it doesn't look like a C7.

This took me to the info on my car but I couldn't find where in the specs it says if it's C6 or C7

Yep it's a C6... Sometimes folks call that "in-between" years with the 3.0t engine the C6.5. But it's definitely a C6.

I had no idea half of that stuff was in my car butcI wasn't able to see anywhere it called out a c6 or c7.
not sure how to tell the difference and need to figure it out for some screen and stereo upgrades I would like to do.
Iao info I have a 2016 A6 Quattro 3.0T. thanks everyone and again thanks for the vin info!

I take that back, I have learned I have a C7-A6. It becomes REALLY apparent when the models are next to each other. Hope everyone is well!
