Default Any way to turn off exit information?

When following a programmed route,, the navigation system displays next three exits on the left side of the navigation screen. While occasionally useful, this information obscures the left 30 or 40% of the navigation display. Is there anyway to turn it off?

None that I'm aware of.

Yes, you can

settings -> route info
options:
- complete: includes every exit when on freeways
- turn by turn: nav directions only, no extra freeway exits
- off: nothing on the MMI screen, you can still use the driver screen

Default In addition to info posted by NewMoon, you can also

remove the turns from the screen very easily by simply pressing down on the MMI ****. This completely opens up the left side of the screen. a quick push of the "back" button brings the turn info back.

Thanks guys. I still miss my customized SHO (even if the new owner is a personal friend and lives only a few blocks away), but so far am really loving the A6 as I learn all the little tricks.

Actually, while this will work, it's because hitting the MMI selector takes you to the map scroll screen which doesn't track with the car's movement. The best way to remove it is as previously noted, through the settings/route info options. Or, I believe you can simply hit the voice control button and speak "Route Info off (or on)".

Are you saying that the NAV will stop providing directions if you do this? The NAV won't prompt you for the next turn?

No, what I wrote was the map will not track with the car's movement. It has nothing to do with the navigation process, voice instructions or what the DIS is displaying for the nav info..
