Hi, I need another battery for my A6 and was wondering if there was a favorite among the forum crowd? Also, is it ok to give someone who is stuck a jump start with my car and will it hurt the electronics?

OK to do a jumpstart but be sure to use the terminal points in the engine compartment and not directly off the battery in the boot. If you replace the battery like for like then you should be OK, but if it is a different type then you may need to have it coded tot he car.

You do need to get the correct battery. Some have purchased Bosch thru Pep Boys which offers a discount.

I recently got a Bosch from Pep Boys. One should also use VCDS to tell the car it has a new battery. There are threads here on how to do that.

If you have stop/start then it needs to be an AGM version and make sure its of either the same or higher Ah rating.
