See the link. It describes the manufacturing technology. It is similar to Beaufort Oak but with aluminium as material. According to the article Audi has exclusive rights to this technology to forestall copycats. I find it stunning even better than carbon atlas inlay.
It appears the official name is Aluminium / Wood Beaufort inlay.

What impresses me is the technology in cutting two material of different hardness into thin veneer slices. The owner is not just presenting his personal taste but showcasing the advanced manufacturing that is evident in a S and RS machine.
