I emailed kufatec and asked if they had an aftermarket product or a software update but they do not. I'm sure someone is working on a coding or some sort of an update on this.
I'm not sure how to read the details though, is it or isn't it possible for an A6 2016?
I read elsewhwere that the product is simply a booklet with three codes that need to be enabled by a dealer.

Both the posting links state that whilst it is for the 2015 A6 & A7 models onwards it is only applicable for 2017 models. Also, although it does not say it for the A6/A7 (it does for Q7) it will require Navigation Plus which replaces the AMI port with USB ports in the armrest
I recently bought the 8" Screen, head unit 4G1035025, touch 4G1919610F and the GPS antenna to upgrade my A6 2016 from RMC to MIB2. I understand that these are the basic components to have the option to have CarPlay in the future but for now I just want the SIM card in order to have google maps and navigation. Also to have the rear camera with original Audi components. My issue is that after I replaced the parts, the screen does come out and the nav, radio, media buttons do not respond. I checked with VCDS and in the electronics1, I clicked on Navigation but got an error about communication or non responding. Is there any code that I might be missing? Included are the image of the head units that I have and what I did.
