Our dealer only does half of the hood because the high quality film is not available in widths that allow the entire hood to be done. The line across the hood is visible most on white and black cars. On our garnet red it is not too bad. I was so skeptical that they gave us a discount that equaled the price of the job without the hood. He said that if we were unhappy with the hood we could bring it in and he would remove that section. The rest of the clear bra is really not visible. You can run your hand along the edge and notice it's there but can't see it. I am very satisfied. Even the line across the hood is not so bad.

Just had a package installed on my Dakota Gray here in Colorado. The state uses sand on snow covered roads and I've installed on all my cars. It saves the car and pays for itself upon resale. Typical is an 18" length on the front of the hood that wraps part of the side bumper, the entire front bumper and don't forget the expensive headlights. Mirror surfaces that face the front, inside the door handles to protect from scratches, and a strip on top of the rear bumper to protect my golf clubs going in and out. Around $600 for 3M and a terrific installation job. You will probably see a slight line on the hood and remember when you wax your car to run a soft rag along the line with fingernail pressure to remove buildup. I found the local Audi club and asked around for recommended installers. Highly recommended.
