Diff/2013 A6 Door lock touch sensor problem
Took my car to Audi for 85k maintenance. They also did a couple software updates and gas line recall fix.
Since I got my car back, everything works fine except I can't lock the doors via touching the handle like I used to.
Key fobs all work to lock the doors, windows and manual locks all work. The only issue I can find is that I have to use the key fob to lock the car.
It unlocks fine by just grasping the handle.
Batteries in the key fobs are new.
regardless of which key fob I use or which door I attempt to lock via the touch handle, nothing seems to work.
My car is out of warrantee but I never had an issue with this until getting it back from the dealer.

Is it possible that a software update has disabled the touch sensors somehow? They also removed the seats to do the gas line recall, would they have damaged something while performing that? My gas cap wasn't unlocking, and they had to fix that after doing their work. I wonder if something else was damaged? It sucks when you take your car to the dealer and you get it back with more problems that you arrived with.
Do I need to tag my post somehow to get some responses in here?

Did you see this? May be cold/battery related: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-...oblem-2966527/

I’ll check battery health, but I never had a problem with the battery, or any of the electrical stuff like the door handles until Audi replaced the led strip for the drivers side mirror turn signal indicator. That was last week. Now suddenly this happens.

Isn’t this a classic case of take it back to the dealer and have them fix what they broke? I wouldn’t touch it until they make good on their work.
Dealer/independent shops have different laws on their responsibility depending on the laws of their land. If you don’t post a location then it’s impossible to help you with your countries laws and other poster help could be for a country that you are not in.

This is in Illinois. Westmont Audi. The car is out of warrantee since it's a 2013, I'm guessing they're going to give me the "well we didn't do it, but we do see a problem. Do you want us to replace the door handles for $$$$$?"
