Default Door trouble

Hello all,
I have 2014 A6 Prestige 3.0 TDI. Last night (35+ degrees) had car started, heater on and could not open driver door from inside. Door opened normally from outside (by relative).
Anyone else have problems like this? Heard about this with VW Jetta but not Audi

Thanks

My friend gets this a lot on his Passat TDI. And it ends up working fine once the weather warms up a little. I'm thinking that water gets in the door and freezes up, jamming the mechanism that pulls the latch. I haven't gotten in there to check, but its the only thing I can think of.

Based on what was reported by VW owners, it could be as simple as a 1/8 turn of a screw in the latch.

This is similar to my experience on a 2010 Jetta front passenger door, but on the outside door handle. Before getting assistance, I tried locking/unlocking a few times and it didn't solve anything. I had to pull the interior handle to open the door. It was out of warranty at the time so I never bothered to take it in.

The child protection locks are actually located just under the window switches on the driver side door. They're often mistaken for just window locks. Try to see if it's something simple like this before doing anything expensive.
