The fine folks at Audizine started a discussion about some prestige models have a foot operated trunk opener.
The jist of it is that by pretending to step on something invisible right below the center of the trunk while having the keyfob in your pocket will pop the trunk open. It appears to be a feature that became, more or less, standard on 2014 models, A/S 6, 7, etc.
Now I say more-or-less because I spent 5 minutes twerking with my coworker and got it to open up only twice so far.
Has anyone else played with this feature or has any experience? It's rather convenient, if you ask me...

Vitus dance to try and get it to work, it would sometimes open on it own as I walked by the left rear fender with the fob in my pocket. Audi directed the dealer to disable it and subsequent cars that year also had it disabled at the factory. At some point, MY2014 I believe, Audi enabled it again but probably using a different sensor or some such.
In any case, I haven't missed it. If my hands are going to be full, I make sure my wife is with me to open it. Or better yet, her hands are full and I graciously open it for her.

BTW - that's how to treat a woman with no respect and have her thank you for it Diplomacy at its finest.

Well, this light hearted thread got awkward. But, hey, good news, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching.
PS - The foot operated trunk opener is still near worthless!

The boot idea sounds like a fun option
I've Been trying to figure out the logic, and even having an engineering mind, I don't understand the brainiac that flow charted the idea
I can't seem to replicate anything to assume a percentage for success but will try the "foot scootin' boogie" next.
