Has anyone picked up a 2.0T?

You might be right about the sleeper, but in the New England area, there is low demand for now.
I just look up the 0-60 MPH numbers for the 2.0T A6, its actually not too bad at 6.9 seconds. My old 2008 A6 3.2 was about 6.7 or 6.8 sec.

[QUOTE=Mickelin;24232050]What is your concern with the cvt? I would think it would be a good transmission for a comfort luxury ride? Clearly, if you are after a sporty ride it's no good, but then again you wouldn't be looking at the 2.0 anyway, right?[/QUOTE
No, not looking for a sporty ride but I just figured that spending $45,000 would at least get me the 8 speed transmission. I know they have to cut costs somewhere to get the price down - but it's a smaller engine - a six speed transmission - no quattro - different brakes - no front seats heated and perhaps a few other smaller items. We didn't want to spend $50,000+ for a car but it just seemed like what I just named cheapens the car to a point where one would think it would be about $40,000 - not $45,000!

I was seriously looking at the 2.0 because of the gas mileage and for many of the reasons that the original poster of this thread cited. However, after much thought we decided against it because of the transmission and some other factors: mainly concern over reliability.
I am also of the opinion the 2.0T is a great deal. Not saying I would get one, but you get the fit and finish of an A7 (not far from an A8 either) in Premium plus trim, which is $46K MSRP, or $44K invoice (can be had out the door for a hair under $45K). If luxury is more important than hooning, the horsepower is plenty good, considering it's the same powerplant in the A4 quattro yet 30 pounds lighter. Plus if you're a highway cruiser, the CVT performance matters little.
But about CVT reliability, I have no idea and would love to hear posters' thoughts. Should be plenty of info since they've been making CVTs for 10 years right?

To me the engine wasn't the issue, the FWD and CVT were dealbreakers. I would have gladly paid high 40s for a 2.0T prem plus w/ 8-speed and quattro. Can't say I'm displeased w/ the 3.0 though
I test drove an a4 w/ CVT and hated it - it feels like you're driving a big rubber band. The 2.0 is a great deal though if you don't mind the drivetrain. Great perspective, vbofw: fit/finish nearing A8 territory for $45k.

Furthermore, how desirable is an (new or used) Audi without Quatrro
