Start /stop problem a6 c7 2011
hi, wondering if anybody could help me I have the Audi A6 C7 2011. I have an issue with the start button so the problem I’m facing when I get into my vehicle I cannot start my car anymore just by pressing the start stop button I have to place my key in the marked area and I seem to get this message, on the dash key not recognised hold the back of key against Mark area, I have changed the battery in the key fob. This does not seem to work. Can anybody with experience on these models? Send me in the right direction or where I should begin This is the message I get every time I try to start my car
I ave the same issue in mmy 2012 2.0 Tdi Tried replacing the battries but to no avail. I just have one key since I bought this car used. Following this threaad.
yup, same here, just picked up this '13 A6 and I have to put the key to the dash at least once a day. Yes changed batteries... I'm in for a solution.

Just an update. Have ordered a couple of keys from Alibaba. Lets see when they arrive and when I get toprogram them to my car. Some say it's a key for issue.
I replaced the battery again with a fresh Energizer lithium battery, and still had the same issues, key not recognized.
I always put my keys in my left pocket of my jacket. So I moved the keys to my right side, closer to the center console, and its been a week so far and not once has this error come up. Fixed. More of a workaround really. I'm assuming the reciever is close to the center of the car and my key is giving a weak signal or something? Whatever, for now I'll just keep the keys closer to the center and not near the door side.
