Default Narrow Driver's seat

I just got my A6 last week and the driver's seat feels really narrow to me. The bolster is always rubbing my hip, is it just me? I think the passenger side is more comfortable.

I have no issues with the seat being too narrow. I am 6’ tall and weigh 170 pounds.

I agree that the seat is not the widest or the most comfortable. I have the heated and cooled ventilated seats and I was fairly dissatisfied for about the first 40k miles but I now quite like them. I must admit that there is no room for a butt pocket wallet but sitting dead center is imperative.

I'm 6'4" 260, not that big. Someone else must have this problem too. Also, I let my wife drive and found the passenger seat more comfortable.

My wife's previous vehicle an Infiniti G37XS had this issue for me. With the Audi I find it just comfy cosy. Took a bit of fiddling with the adjustments to get it sorted for me. Now it's great!

One option would be to go to a local auto upholstery shop and have them customize the seat a little for you. It is far less expensive than you might think. I just bought a 2016 A6 PP, and may end up looking into this myself after driving it for a few months. WIth a bigger budget I would have bought a Prestige but I had to stop somewhere.

That's a good idea but I had planned to have a custom seat cushion made because I don't want to mess up the value of the car.

The Prestige seats aren't any different though are they?

I don't think they are any different. They look the same to me. Perhaps the heat or ventilation makes a difference.
