Pins and Needles - A TDI BIG day tomorrow PART II?
Any guesses out there from the gallery as to what the judge will agree to on our behalf tomorrow? Another postponement maybe?

So, will Christmas be coming early this year for those of us still waiting to find out? or will the judge give them another extension saying once again "VW/Audi are making good progress..." ?

Nothing good ever happens on a Monday so I am expecting that the lawyers and VW did not come to any agreements over this past weekend so the Judge will again delay this until after the holidays. Merry Christmas everyone!

Another extension. Apparently both sides didn't work this weekend so the Judge has given a final extension set for Tuesday.

Volkswagen to recall 83,000 vehicles to settle allegations of cheating emissions tests
So VW has option to fix or possibly buy back.
Hmmm, why not give owners that choice?

Well, it looks like VW/Audi think the 2013+ 3L TDIs can be "fixed", whereas the 2009-2012 models will be bought back. This is subject to the EPA agreeing to the updates made to the 2013+ models which VAG says will make the vehicles compliant. Otherwise the newer cars will be bought back too. I think it may take months to get the definitive answer as to what the outcome will be.
