Price for used 2016 A6 3.0T

The best I got so far was offer of $53,200 ($56,200 - $3,000 (Audi incentives)) for a car that stickers for $62.5k.
Else I can go for a used CPO 3.0T similiarily equipeed for $49k with about 10k miles.
Advantages:
New - No need to worry about who drove the car before.
CPO - Get warrant to 6 years (really five more years from my acquisition) and 100,000 miles.
Disadvantages:
New - Price about $4.5k more
CPO- Don't know how it was treated and why someone sold so early.
A Premium Plus 3.0 has everything I really need so everything else is just extra.
Thoughts?

Even if you only keep the car a few years resale value will be more with the CPO as the warranty stays with the car. Not sure on trade in value as I never trade in cars.

Buying an end of year model will have a lower resale value down the road as the car is one model year older. You save money now on a closeout 2016 or get more later with a 2017 - it's always a trade-off. CPO could help add back some value later or at the least, make the car more desirable at a given sell price. But remember, a CPO adds a passed-on dealer certification cost to a used car buyer up front so there may be no free rides either way.

I'm trying to get a quote for a new A6 from places in California and they are being stingy. Anyone have a good contact where I can get a good discount like 15% off and the Audi savings like one of the members have indicated?

By the way, if you absolutely want the best deal, definitely contact them again by the end of the month and I'm sure they will give you a better price.
Also, when you lease, the 2016/2017 doesn't matter because the residuals are the same, what does matter is that you get a better price to begin with and more rebates.

Well, I went in a totally different direction after driving a P+Tech A4. The technology with Virtual Cockpit and Carplay is pretty awesome. I found a Prestige A4 with Drivers Assist. He gave me 9.9% off. End of month negotiation really helped. Depending on how nice the 2018 A6, I might trade up in a couple of years.
Thanks everyone for your input.
