Search function
Many people post threads that have been previously discussed at length but I suspect it is because the search function is slightly more than useless. I used the advanced search and specified the C7 A6 forum with a text search for “engine mounts”. The search returns pages of threads with no mention of engine mounts.
I am used to Google because it actually works, is there a method that I’m missing on using this pathetic version of a search function? Alternatively, a link to a thread regarding longevity and cost of replacing each mount would be greatly appreciated.

1 - use the "SEARCH THIS FORUM" (highlighted in yellow in pic bellow)
2 - Type "motor mount"
3 - Get results
I saw a thread less than 5 down which seemed to address what you asked for.
