This has been discussed in a few threads. My service department told me it is an unfortunate product of performance cars. I changed my pads and now I don't squeak.

Personally I feel that is a BS answer. I had Brembos on 2 Acuras and they were great brakes and were perfectly quiet, although extremely dusty.

Would you share which pads you use now? Does it improve on reducing dust? How is the initial bite compared with OEM

I bought EDC Redstuff. It reduces breakdust but does not eliminate by any means. My wheels get dirty still. I don't feel a big difference in bite. They are a little better, but I have already beat them up pretty bad on the track.

I didn't say I agree with what they said. I just report what I was told. I also think for this kind of money, brakes should not sound like they are on their last leg and metal rubbing.

Proper pad bedding reduces the tendency of brake squeal, optimizes performance, and brake life.

Jason, I did not bed the factory pads. I would have to look into how to accomplish that. I do still have the factory pads since they were all but new when I replaced them. My plan could be to re-install those down the road.
Below is our tutorial on bedding brakes. You may be able to attempt this with the brakes now and see if it helps. Or another option is to have the rotors turned and attempt to re-bed them.
I replaced the factory pads with 30 miles on the odometer and put on Akebono Euro Ceramic pads all around. They stop great and virtually no dust. I have 2500 miles on them and love them. Takes about 600 miles to get them mostly bedded, but about 1500-2000 miles for them to have great bite. I have no regrets putting these on and the have become very grippy.
