Trouble clearing fault code....
Being the over-inquisitive jack-*** that I am, I improperly tested the armrest 12v socket for amperage output and managed to blow the fuse -- along with arcing the socket. I found the burnt fuse in the trunk, and immediately replaced it with a slightly higher rated fuse that worked just fine to bring the socket back to life. Within 24-hrs, I put in the proper rated fuse. The socket works just fine, however a recent scan brought up the following fault code:
5F Information Control Unit
[...]
Trouble codes:
03389 - Data set implausible
static
Priority: 2
Frequency counter: 1
Driving cycle: 110
Mileage: 122716 km
Date: 2017-09-27 08:03:58
Measurement: 14.5 V
: 00000010
: 8.6 °v.OT
I am not sure exactly how to read this, but it looks to be suggesting that at the time I blew the 12v socket fuse, that the system measured an out of range reading (duh !). However, when I go to clear the fault code, it does not allow for this code to clear -- I am using OBDeleven software.
Any suggestions on how to clear this code ? i.e. need VCDS/VAG-COM instead, reinstall firmware, etc.. Thanks in advance !
