Default Warning Triangle

I ordered a warning triangle from the Audi Collection. It is marked with a tag part number 000 093 056 A, made in Germany. The red plastic case has the 4 circle logo and 8D9 860 251 B.
At just a hair over 17" long, it fits into the truck lip recess, but there are no straps to keep it in place. I am hoping some owner who has one as standard equipment can tell me how to keep it in place in the trunk lip.

I found a dozen holding devices on ebay when using "audi triangle" in the search. I don't know which triangle you ordered or what clip you would use.

How about some pictures?

So, I got my A6 and I got the stuff from ECS but it looks like the holder is not screwed on, it requires some holes to be cut/drilled in the trunk liner to snap in. Did anybody else do this and can provide some best practice before I get the dremel and drill out and start cutting holes in my 2 week old car?

Take pictures and be real easy with the drill bit. It's sheet aluminum so don't use a lot of pressure drilling. When the bit breaks through, it could dimple the outer skin. Double check the length of the screws.

Remove the liner if you can.

The clip I ordered did not fit the triangle I got from Audi. Right now the triangle is in the spare tire well.

I can't believe that Audi is so cheap and doesn't even offer an option pack for those who want this stuff. I got it installed but it wasn't pretty. It's more than 3 holes and I'm sure there is a trunk liner that has the right cut out for the holder to fit. At the end I broke off one of the clips, drilled some holes to screw it on and made it work. But it would have been much easier if at least the holder would have been there.

This is what North America gets:

And this is how it should look like:

I made the cut out a little too big and had to use two screws to hold it in place:

And for those who are interested how it looks like without the trunk liner:

The ECS triangle is the right size for the ECS holder, it's just that making it snap in would require some good template or the right trunk liner.

And if you are like me and would like to have a first aid kit inside the cabin and not under all the luggage in the trunk, 8P0860282A fits in the rear center armrest (also available form ECS).

I ordered the triangle and holder from my local dealer here in the UK. Thanks for posting the pics!

I plan to install it next week. Any tips on removing the liner? You had to drill holes into the actual trunk for the two push clips? What length of screws did you use?
