The first one resets the miles on the dash after filling up. It is in the manual. Took me five days in Europe to figure out how to do it. Now it is covered by my iPhone on dash.

Me too. I've needed glasses to pass the driving test since I was 25, but no longer. I could always read without glasses, but needed them for distance. When I had my Cataracts removed a couple of years ago, I had them install lenses for distance vision. Now I use glasses to read, but no longer for distance--so I pass my eye test for a driver's license without glasses and no longer have that restriction on my license. (BTW I'm 80!)

Yes, that is so, without surgery or anything. It is nice not having to have glasses in the car all the time.

I did not know this was a Seniors forum. I will be 74 this month and never needed glasses until my 50's. Seems I get farsighted and need a + prescription for driving and progressives for stronger reading now. Conversely a young nearsighted person needs glasses for distance and a weaker or no prescription when they get older. The Magnivison glasses from CVS are perfect for computer work. I could drive with them too but with less + number (+150 for driving, +275 for fine print).

Are this buttons on the 2016 A6? Never saw them. The odometer reset is on the little OK MMI wheel on the left stalk.

Best at our age to watch the road and forget the buttons. Hard to follow my own advice.

The one on the left side of the steering wheel resets either of the two computer mpg trip odometers when in the appropriate DIS screen. The one on the dash resets the the overall "permanent" trip odometer in the lower right of the DIS. At least it's that way on my 2013.
