What do they have to take apart when the rear camera chips come in?

What do they have to take apart when the rear camera chips come in?
Just curious how much on an operation it will be when they start installing them. For example do they just have to remove the small camera lens on the back or is the chip somewhere deeper in the systems of the car.

I asked my dealer this and they don't know! Pah!!
There's a delay in the chassis numbers being loaded onto the warranty system I was told, so some of the more recent cars cannot have the chip even ordered yet :-(

Kevin, I don't mean to send you on a wild goose chase, but I came across this collection of 164 photos and cutaway views for the A6 (except it's the european version). Maybe there's something for the rear camera in here.
