NY Plate Assembly behind the grill
I'm physically looking at a 2019 A6 and it's a New York car and I want to get rid of that front plate assembly behind the grill. It's such an eye sore (no offense to my fellow Northeast friends)
My thinking is there was an original A6 grille assembly piece that would put it back to OEM look and perfectly match the grille . Right now it looks like they replaced it with maybe something different which had holes in it for the NY plate to mount. This is not something that's on the grill but it actually looks like a center piece that replaces the OEM centerpiece behind the grille to conveniently mount a New York front license plate. I can post up pics of what a normal grille looks like versus what I see on the A6 that I'm interested in but my thinking is you guys know what I'm talking about

Actually as I look closer it looks like I'm going to have to replace the grill all together because it's got ugly holes in the grill and it looks like part of the Chrome is cracked. It also looks like it has had a European license plate on it over time and part of the paint color has faded in the center so that the grille just looks very uneven which is a shame because one of the nice things about the audi are their grills
By the way does anyone else think that Audi's just going the wrong way when it comes to things? Like the newer modern day grilles look like the older grilles? Also The honeycomb grills look kind of cheap and plastic. The rear of the 2019 has some nice Chrome strip across but I think after 2022 Audi has done away with that.. this is one of the reasons why I like the 2019 year.
JMO I think they are just going backwards. Was looking at 2022 and 2023 and They don't even have a USB in the center console anymore. But whatever

Not to be a pain but are there photos of this actual car you are referring to ? Upon seeing them we can then suggest and possibly even point you to vendors that may have exactly what you are referring to.
