Some years ago I applied Rain-X Original Glass Water Repellent to my windshield in my previous car. Raindrops flew off the windshield and in light drizzle, didn't even need to use my wipers in the auto setting. A side benefit was that it eliminated any squeaking or chattering of the wipers.

Another thing to do is put your wipers in the up position on the windshield. Turn wiper away from the windshield and clean the blade edge with a damp rag. Works wonders.

Thanks, I tried cleaning them to no avail. They are brand new wipers OEM blades...

That leaves Rain-X as the last option. A bottle costs less than four bucks. Try it. Good for 15-20 applications.
