I searched the forum and couldn't find any conclusive answer. My stealership says that my rears need replacing, they want ~$450+tax installed (new rotors and pads). I'd like to save some money and do it at any indy and buy my parts online.

Now there is some conflicting info regarding the A6 2.7t rear brakes. The Model guide here on AW says rears are 10.1 in. (256 mm) - Ventilated discs. My gut feeling and from my searches in the forum says my rears are actually 9.64 in. (245 mm) - Solid discs.

So which is it? I put my money on the solid discs but I need confirmation before I order them rotors online.

FWIW, my '02 has ventilated 256s, but I think the 2.7Ts kept the old solids.
