2.8 vs. 2.7T Steering Boost
I was given a 2.8 tip without PSK for a loaner today and noticed a dramatically higher steering boost, waaayyy too light, and very different from my 2.7t/6spd/psk car. Is this a psk difference, or a 2.8 vs. 2.7t difference?

I suspect it's a tire/suspension difference.
I have a non-sport 2.7T with the softer suspension and Conti's and the steering seems just as light as a 2.8 I test drove in '98. Or perhaps it's just the difference between two different cars. Or is it possible Audi could have left out the Servotronic on your car, or might it not be working? I too am curious to hear of other folk's experiences.

Re: I suspect it's a tire/suspension difference.
The steering on my non-sport 2.7T was way too light. Than a couple of months ago I upgraded my suspension to Eibach springs and Koni shocks. As expected the handling of the car was transfromed; but the surprise is that the steering had gotten heavier. I think the steering feel now is almost perfect. Since I still have the stock tires (Contis) so it must be the stiffer springs and shocks that did the trick. While I am on the subject of suspension, does anyone know if there are any added benefits by installing the PSK sway bar? The body roll now is already minimal.
