On my 2.7L it's #3 cyl @ TDC when crank lock pin aligned & timing mark on harm bal. aligned with notch on plastic cover.

As the poster has a 4.2 that isn't much help. It will most likely be either 1 or 4 but I really don't know for sure.

I guess that makes 2 of us that don't know for sure. I did some searching on web & see some indication that it could be #5 @ TDC. But, I'm not passing that on as fact. I'll bow out & let someone that knows the 4.2 speak up.
