Default 2001 A6 Quattro 2.8

Hey guys I have a 2001 Audi A6 quattro with a 2.8, using my scanner im getting codes p0441 and p0322, It has a really bad exhaust leak so i ordered a new drivers side cat pipe. Also i ordered a engine speed sensor. Im going to replace those both tomorrow, but i was wondering if a p0441 code is for purge valve. Where is that thing located so i can try and clean it out or something. Any help is appreciated.

I wonder what those codes mean? I wish someone would look them up and post the meanings.

On my 4.2, the purge valve was on the passenger side of the engine, between the air intake and the shock tower.

Also, please post what the codes mean next time. Nobody remembers them in their head, and we have to look it up.

you said you have a really bad exhaust leak / leaking at the flex pipe by any chance ? thats usually where they leak, shouldn,t affect your codes too much as its a fair bit down stream of the O2 sensor .if i only we new what those codes meant ..

I had the same code pop up as well. Replaced with a new purge valve from FCP Parts ( lowest price found )
Took less than 10mins. Just an FYI before you start, buy some mini hose clamps to replace the pressed clamps from the factory.
But heres where its located.
