Default 2002 2.7T Brake Configuration?

I'm getting ready to install Greenstuff. Vendor sent DP21328 for fronts: 4 pads. Haven't taken calipers off, but they sure look like one big pad. Can anyone verify whether front of 2002 is 2 or 4 pad per wheel.

EBC catalog is a bit vague...it lists 2001+ as 21510, but I recall there was a brake change 2001 to 2002. THANKS!

Default "02 has 2 pads per caliper. "01 has HP-2 and uses 4 pads per caliper.

Please post if you find an aftermarket pad for the '02.

Default I believe they switched from HP-2's mid to late 02. I think you

could possibly have either depending on your build date.

Default I believe there was a change in 02; but, I'm not sure. Why did you want to know about

aftermarket pads for the 02? I thought you had Stoptechs on that Gorgeous Green Grabber! ;-)

Default I would not have spent the $ for Stoptechs if aftermarket pads were available.

GreenStuffs worked well on my '99. But, nothing for the '02. So I had to spend the dough.

I trust yours held up OK last weekend and you had a good time? I looked for you again on Sunday AM but didn't see you around.

Default David, I think you need to buy pads for the Stoptech's you have, not by the

year of the Audi you own. I'm sure there's probably a generic crossover; but, make sure the pads you buy are for the StopTech caliper you have. Your has a ST-40 caliper IIRC.

Had a great time at the track, ran into a problem Sunday, but it wasn't mechanical. Looked for you as well, maybe next time we'll get together. Mary wanted to meet you and Pat. Hope I remember your lovely Audi driving wife's name correctly. I stink at names; so, my bad if I'm wrong! ;-)

Default Yes of course. Just trying to help the guy out about the stock calipers.

Sorry we missed you both. (It is Pat, BTW - good call!)
