2002 Subwoofer

Audi 2002 brochure says standard stereo is 140-watt, 8 speaker sound system with subwoofer. Where is the subwoofer located?

In the little door in the trunk...on the right side.

at the time when subwoofers are at least 8", I can't believe speakers like that are also considered as subwoofers althought the sound is impressive judging by its size.

I would have the stereo playing while I was working in the garage

and the license plate would be buzzing away, I never understood why Bose would think that an A6 owner would want a boomcar system. An A4 owner maybe, but not us! I had to run the bass control at 0.

It's more of a woofer...

Subwoofers don't have to thump from blocks away... but they are supposed to fill in the low end frequencies that woofers can't audibly reproduce. The bose "sub" doesn't do either.
