Default A6 4.2 Values

almost afraid to ask...
I'm about to list my 2000 A6 4.2 for sale in my local paper. The car is pristine and has 50,500 miles.
Does $28,500 seam reasonable?
I'm trying to split the difference between trade in value and retail value.
thanks for any input.

Default May be too high...

I paid $30K even for an '01 4.2 with 56K from a dealer, Audi Assured for two years in the SF Bay Area. I asked for opinions at the time, and most people thought it was worth $28-29K. Asking was something like $34.9K.

I just (10 days ago) bought a 32,000 mile 01 4.2 Nemo Blue with sport and convenience from a dealer (existing factory warranty plus Audi Certified to 100k miles) for US$29,767 out the door. I love used Audi's.

Default $20-22k...IMO.

The car is 4 1/2 years old...and has zero warranty...and is probably soon gonna cost the new owner some jack in repairs and maintenance.
50% residual value at 4 years is pretty good...so yours should be a bit less than that. I think in trade they'd offer $17k...IMO.

Just bought one with 62000 miles for $18,600, which was an exceptional deal. Suggest that Kelly Blue trade-in value will move your vehicle. (Dealers laugh when you ask for this on a trade in.) Anything higher and you'll have to wait to find that special buyer.
