AWESOME!
Really!! They make the car look really great. The other wheels on the A6 wagon are really dull. Those just put a totally different spin on the car! Maybe I know what I will do with my wheels once I get new ones now. hmmmmm

Very nice .. While at the Audi plant last fall ..
We saw A6 4.2 S6 avants all over the place.
Will you keep these S4 wheels on the A6? How much has the ride diminished/suffered? A lot or just a little?

Re: Lookin' good!! BTW - what tires do you have mounted on there?
I ordered a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Position tires which make a huge difference. There's a closeup of the wheel and tire as a link on my original post. I would say that the ride really hasn't suffered at all, it's a little stiffer but I think that the stock suspension actually works better with the new wheels and tires. With the stock Continentals, I was definitely up on the sidewalls during the sweepers.

Re: Very nice .. While at the Audi plant last fall ..
The wheels are definitely keepers. I really don't notice a huge difference in ride, but the car definitely feels sharper in its responses. One thing I do notice, which I don't find particularly disagreeable, is that the car seems to be more sensitive to imperfections in the road(it follows cracks and such) but it's okay. Fortunately the offsets are perfect for the car (which is no surprise because I believe that the front suspension geometry of the A4/S4/A6(2.8 and 2.8T) are the same. Also rolling diameter is only slightly different so my speedo should only be off by a couple percent.
The next upgrade will be the G2 PES supercharger.. I just want to get the car's rolling stock to be up to snuff before I do that.
Nick Nguyen

Tires
a) "tamlining" as the English term it, through some part size, is in large part due to the tires (carcass and tread design)
b) I think 225/45 could be more then 2% smaller (rpm- rev. per mi.). Look at the specs of the two tires (most are onlne) to see what the mnf. claim.
I went with a "small" spec 245/45. Wider yet no tramlining. The taller gearing will even help with the supercharged engine - you can better take advantage of all that torque in your 30 to 60 and 50 to 80mph sprints.

Re: Very nice .. While at the Audi plant last fall ..
I did some rough calculations with a pocket calculator and determined that the old wheels were 2.8% larger than my current wheels. Which is acceptable to me. It will keep me from speeding, no?
Nick Nguyen
