A6 parts to save.
What are the most important parts to save on a 2001 a6 that is getting scrapped.
I have a few hours to pull things off the car before it goes to the junkyard this Saturday it is a 2001 wagon 2.8 with a bad transmission.
I know the parts I need, but am wondering what are other things that are worth saving that I might need or that other people might need.

Depending on time and space, my suggestion (as I can think of):
Electronics: ECM, any modules under carpet, behind kickpanels and over pedals, numbered relays, fuel pump and senders, instrument panel, air-mass sensor, coils, window regulator motors, regulators and switches for heated seats, head unit, if avant then rear wiper motor assembly, Airbags...
Other: ABS unit, ABS sensors, throttle body, injectors, fan with clutch... if you already have taken the steps to remove the throttle body, might as well pull the coolant temp sensor if its good, OE part and working.
Some of this takes a bit of work - just some parts worth mentioning and known to be in demand.

Heads. 2.8 to 2.7T head swap is a common performance upgrade. A lot of people just swap in the intake cams as it's much easier than a head swap. Either way they are worth money to someone.
