Vince, I doubt Audi is going to share all of their programming codes or trade manufacturing secrets and they do have that right considering certain manufactures love to reverse engineer and copy, and I won't mention the ones.
Your DTC codes can be easily found at RossTech's site with enough info to direct you, or you can look at this.
18014/P1606/005638 - Rough Road/Engine Torque Signal from ABS: Electrical Malfunction
Possible Symptoms
· Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
Possible Causes
· Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Brake Electronics faulty
Possible Solutions
· Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Brake Electronics
Special Notes
· May be stored in Combination with 01203 in Brake Electronics

all that information tells you is check your wiring harness connections, unless you have the VAG 1598 tool, your pretty much SOL, take it to the dealer
even the code points to section 4.2 ABS/EDL rough road recognition signal checking, which states you need to test the ECM,the ABS module, and the cable... the bottom line is that that code should not be stored in the DTCs its a intermittant code that fires when a wheel spin is detected and then goes away. it is dangerous if it is being stored in the DTC area because when that code is active the misfire codes are ignored by the ECU which could lead to engine damage. manual states that either the ECU, ABS module, or harness(between ecu and ABS) is bad or need to be checked/replaced.........
bettand i actually just found a procedure you can run with your vag-com to test the can-bus connection between the ecu and abs controll module. but im still upset at you saying i dont help so suck it trebek youll NEVER find the procedure on ross-tech
