Look above at 2.7t advice posting. The non-qtr does not seem to have fuel sender problems
The manual was available in '99 with QTR only. Super rare. We tried to order another in '00 and could not. If they are set on a manual, you might check for 2.7t.
There have been some fantastic leases for the new cars, your friend may want to look into that at the dealer.
Factory warranty on pre-owned Assured cars ( at the dealer ) is 5 yrs and 75K from original in-service date. Not quite as complete as the 3yr/50K warranty that came with the '98 and '99 ( or the 4yr/50K from '00 on up )

Slushbox only
Start researching prices in your market by tracking the Sunday Globe ads and the Pennysaver/Recycler for your area. Don't trust prices from other parts of the country or the
"averaged" national numbers from Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, etc.
Each market sets its own car prices.
