Default After owning my Valentine 1 for 9 years (I am one of the original owners that had to wait

several weeks since production was very slow initially) I had to send it in since the rear arrow LCD and somtimes the front were not working. I overnighted it to the factory on Monday and today I got it back UPS Next Day and NO CHARGE for the return or the repair. I asked for a pair of suction cups and they also came in the package NO CHARGE. I have had 2 upgrades (94 & 97) and they weren't cheap but I find the V1 to be the best on the market because of the locator. I have used others, but IMHO, in the real world, the V1 is absolutely the best and provides top notch service.

Default That is good to know. Mine is about 1 1/2 years old now and..............

the service reputation and upgradeability were key in my decision to purchase. Your testimony is encouraging. Thanks for the post!

Default Very comforting to hear, I'll always stand behind the Valentine 1.....

with the recent tests that were published, people are beginning to denounce the V1 heavily. Sure they may be others that offer similar range and features, but the directional arrows, and the almost simplistic audio warnings of the V1 to me are the best that I've ever encountered. I too have found their customer service to be top notch. I've called and asked for new suction cups and they were sent to me free of charge. I don't think you'll get that type of service from BEL Electronics or the Escort people.

Default Weeks? HA! I waited months!!! :)

I too have had excellent service from Valentine - out of warranty defects fixed free, etc...

I think I need to start up a website called RadarTesters.COM, post test "data" showing that my buddy's detector rules, SPAM every car discussion board I can find with "V1 is no longer the king" messages, and watch the world beat a path to my door - after all, if it's on internet, it MUST be true!

Oh wait, that's already been done...
