AIR BAG warning light after jumping the car
I had to jump start my 98 A6 Quattro 2.8 yesterday... got really cold.
After the car was started, the "AIR BAG" warning light came on.
Does anyone else ever had this problem?
Is there a real problem with the air bag?
Is there a way to clear this warning myself?
Does my airbag still work partially if this light came one?
thanks!

Jump starting modern cars is very risky
the computers are extremely sensitive to voltage fluctuation & spikes. You may have gotten a surge that fried something.
No, you can't reset it yourself AFAIK; can't tell if the airbag itself works if the light's on because we don't know what the fault, if any, is. My 94 MB C280 regularly had seat switches go bad, setting the SRS light off: you never knew which switch was bad; the bad switch disabled the bag associated with it, the other bag would work.
Get it checked by your dealer.

Short answer, actually, is yes. There are chargers that will do this...
I got one from Brookstone a couple of years ago. It's not really a trickle charger because IIRC it takes only a few minutes to build the charge (whereas a trickle charger is charging in milliamp increments, taking hours).
